Berkshire Launches Early Intervention in Psychosis Service

The Berkshire Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Launch Event took place on the 15 June 2016. The purpose of the event was to recognise and celebrate the launch of a stand-alone EIP service working across the whole of Berkshire to support those experiencing First Episode Psychosis (FEP) or with At Risk Mental States (ARMS).

For people experiencing the early stages of a psychotic illness, the Berkshire EIP Service offers three core functions:

1. Early detection;
2. Acute care during and immediately following a crisis;
3. Recovery-focused continuing care, featuring multimodal interventions to enable people to maintain or regain their social, academic, and career trajectory.
